Hamilton, Bermuda.
Once again it was our great pleasure to partner with local solar company BE Solar to deploy a clean energy solution at the Bermuda Red Cross’s new headquarters.
The installation features a 32-panel solar PV system using high-performance 440W Aptos bifacial solar panels. These panels, guaranteed to produce energy for at least 30 years, are paired with Enphase IQ7+ microinverters for optimal performance and reliability. The project also includes a 15-year warranted 10kWh Enphase IQ5P battery solution, ensuring essential energy loads can run during outages.
“This system exemplifies energy leadership and collaboration within our community,” said Steven Wells, Head of Aeolus Charitable Giving Committee at Aeolus Capital Management. “This system exemplifies energy leadership and collaboration within our community, this is the third solar installation project Aeolus has helped fund and we are immensely proud to partner with BE Solar and the Bermuda Red Cross to deliver on a shared vision for a sustainable Bermuda.”
The project helped Bermuda Red Cross to achieve their key goals:
- Enhance sustainability
- Provide backup power during outages
- Future-proof the property for additional renewable energy phases
- Offer expert energy efficiency advice
Executive Director of the Bermuda Red Cross, Ann Spencer Arscott explained, “When it was confirmed that we would be moving our offices into the Clipper Building, we knew we had to look for a backup power solution to function during power outages and it was suggested that we consider solar power and batteries. It has been a great experience working with the BE Solar team and of course, none of this could have happened without the tremendous support from Aeolus Capital Management and the QBE Foundation.”
